This was drawn for the book 'Another Load of If' (Methuen 1984) to replace the original #0860, which should have been published two days after the IRA bombing of the Grand Hotel in Brighton in which a number of people died and Norman Tebbit and his wife were seriously injured. As it included a depiction of the top of Tebbit's head launching in the manner of a Trident missile, which had been drawn over a week before the event, and which could easily have been misconstrued, it was withdrawn from publication in the Guardian at my request. I have no idea where the original #0860 ended up, but it may well have been sold to raise money to support the striking miners.
